Our mission is to equip the Church, share the radical love of Jesus, and support those who are wandering under a counterfeit rainbow. It is a daily, unfolding journey — and we want you to be a part of it. May we finally lay down our stones of judgement, dismantle our hierarchies of righteousness, and silence the clanging cymbals of condemnation. We are three different women.
We come from three different backgrounds, carried different hurts, and walked down entirely different roads. But over time, our lives intertwined within the lesbian lifestyle. For years we built our identities, our relationships, and our future around a rainbow that the world had redefined. We convinced ourselves we were happy and safe. But independently of one another, a quiet truth began to break through the fog of our realities: we had been deeply deceived by Satan. We had spent too many years wandering far from the Lord, chasing counterfeits of love while starving for the truth. That is why we chose the title of this book, and why we are openly saying that we are "surrendering the rainbow."

Surrendering the Rainbow
Long before the rainbow became a symbol for a culture or a political movement, it belonged entirely to God.
As written in Genesis 9:13, the rainbow was created as a sacred sign of God's mercy, protection, and unyielding love for mankind. In Surrendering the Rainbow three women share how they gave up a manufactured identity to return this beautiful symbol to it's true holy purpose. This book is not a story of loss. It is a powerful testimony of what happens when we lay down the pride of the world and allow ourselves to be fully claimed by Jesus.

True transformation in Christ demands more than just giving up bad habits or handing over selected pieces of our lives.
It requires absolute, unconditional surrender. An Urgent Plea to the Church
Beyond these personal testimonies of survival, this book carries a desperate, burning message for our brothers and sisters in Christ: The Church must stop using condemnation and hatred to reach the LGBT community. Throwing truth like rocks and shouting judgment causes catastrophic harm. When people experience hostility from Christians, they want nothing to do with God. Jesus loved perfectly and led by example. He did not condemn these authors for their old lifestyle. He wooed them out of it with radical, unyielding grace.
Come as You Are
No one should ever have to “get cleaned up” before walking through the doors of a sanctuary. Equal Footing at the Cross: The Church has mistakenly created a hierarchy of righteousness, treating certain sins as unpardonable while ignoring gossip, pride, and greed inside its own walls. If we do not actively love the lost to the foot of the cross, we may very well be the reason they never come to the Lord. We pray that these distinct paths show you the multi-faceted grace of a Savior who leaves the ninety-nine to chase down the one. May you see His heart through our stories, and may the Church learn how to love the lost back home.

Penny Drake, PhD
Penny is thrilled to be back in her roots, living in her beautiful hometown of Lenoir City, Tennessee. Grounded deeply in her faith and family, she actively serves her community at her family church, Sixth Avenue Church of God, where she passionately leads as the President of the Women’s Ministry.A lifelong learner with a deep passion for education, Penny holds a PhD in Psychology. While she chose not to continue a pursuit of a clinical license, her academic journey fueled a deep dedication to helping others; she focused her doctoral dissertation and extensive research on the complexities of chronic pain management. Today, she beautifully bridges her faith and her scientific expertise by helping build her sister and brother-in-law's cutting-edge MLS Laser business, bringing real physical relief to those suffering from chronic pain.Becoming a published author has been a lifelong dream for Penny, and she is filled with immense joy and gratitude to finally achieve this milestone with Surrendering the Rainbow. When she isn't writing, researching, or volunteering, you can find Penny embracing her creative side through reading, singing, crafting, and traveling to new places. As she steps into this exciting new season, Penny is walking forward with absolute peace and anticipation—having fully surrendered her future and given Jesus total control over her life.

Gena Carr was born in Dallas and raised in Grapevine, Texas, but today she calls the Arizona desert home — a place where God radically transformed her life. After a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit, Gena was delivered from smoking, profanity, and a thirty-year identity she once believed defined her. Her baptism in the Colorado river on Easter Sunday marked the beginning of a new life of freedom and purpose. One year later, she witnessed another miracle when her former partner experienced her Holy Spirit transformation. Both now walk forward in faith, forever changed by God’s grace. Gena volunteers joyfully through Beat the Heat Women’s Retreat 501(c)(3) nonprofit as the website creator, fundraiser, grant writer and one of the marketing managers. She is also a proud mother of two adult children and Meemaw to three grandsons who still call Texas home. Her passion is helping women encounter hope, healing, and the presence of Jesus. Becoming a published author with Surrendering the Rainbow is a blessing she never expected but fully embraces. In this new season, Gena moves forward with peace and confidence—fully surrendered to Jesus and grateful for the story He continues to write.
Mary Frost
Mary Frost lives in Cottonwood, Arizona, where she serves faithfully in her local church community. Her heart for outreach has led her to spend countless hours feeding the homeless, praying for the hurting, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with anyone willing to listen.Mary’s passion for learning about Jesus has shaped her walk, giving her a powerful testimony of redemption and restoration. Her journey reflects a deep hunger for truth and a desire to help others experience the same freedom she found in Christ.Becoming a published author with Surrendering the Rainbow is a blessing she never expected but joyfully embraces. In every season, Mary continues to grow in faith, trusting Jesus with her story and boldly living out the calling He has placed on her life.
